The Cause

To our supporters,

The Jean Holzhuter Family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated their time and money to the Annual Queen Jean Memorial Golf Tournament .

The idea for this tournament came about after our mother passed away at age 84 from Colon Cancer.  Hospice of Salina was there for her during her last few months of life, helping her and our family with the life-changing decisions that needed to be made during this period, while helping her to maintain all the independence and
dignity she needed in those last days and months.

Our family decided to give something back to this self funded, non profit organization that helped us and so many others. Having raised over $39,000.00. which were designated to go into a continuing education fund for Hospice nurses and staff. Because of the success and generosity of all of you, that education fund is set up for the next 3 years!  Thank you so much!

The funds from the 2010 tournament were designated to Indigent Care, (families who need Hospice Care who
don’t have the means to afford it.). We surpassed out goal of $42,000.00 with a total of $48.000.00.This year we hope to
exceed last years total. It’s people like you that keep this facility operational

Once again we thank you for your continuous generosity and support of this event .

Sincerely,
The Jean Holzhuter Family
